STORM RESPONSE CITIZEN UPDATE

These roads continue to be closed to vehicular traffic: Yadkin Road is closed from Santa Fe Drive to the Yadkin Road Fort Bragg gate. Reilly Road is closed from Morganton Road to the Reilly Road Fort Bragg gate.
For emergencies, citizens can go to command posts, which are located on Yadkin Road at General Jackson’s; on Reilly Road across from the Pizza Hut; and at Andrews Road at
Westover Recreation Center, located at 267 Bonanza Drive, remains open as a shelter. Call the shelter at 433-1088.

The Red Cross is coordinating efforts to deliver ice, food and water into the affected residential areas.

Storm Debris Separation
It is very important that residents separate types of storm debris and place the materials at the curb. Items should be sorted into the following different piles:
If debris is not separated, it will hinder clearing operations and delay pickup.
Citizens can call Progress Energy at 1-800-452-2777 for information about power restoration.
The Fayetteville Police Department is currently working on establishing an ID card identification system for residents of the devastated areas and for the identification of contractors entering the areas. The police department anticipates to establish this system later today. Citizens and contractors will be directed to the Police Command Posts in either the Yadkin Road or Reilly Road corridor.
