Acquistion and Demolition Program

Designed to acquire, demolish and remove property that is abandoned, unsafe, seriously damaged or deteriorated beyond reasonable financial cost to effectively rehabilitate, so that the property may be used for future affordable housing development.

Housing Rehabilitation Program

Funds are provided to the City by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program and Home Investment Partnership Program to offer both an Owner Occupant Housing Rehabilitation Program and Investor Owner Housing Rehabilitation Program. The objective of both programs is to improve the housing conditions for low to moderate income families; increase the supply of decent, safe and sanitary housing; and encourage revitalization of deteriorating neighborhoods. A third program, Replacement Housing Program may also be a consideration if conditions are appropriate.

Downpayment Assistance Program

The Down Payment Assistance Program offers a low-interest second mortgage that is designed to assist low to moderate income home buyers with the down payment or closing costs required when purchasing a home.

Mortgage Assistance Program

The Mortgage Assistance Program (M.A.P) offers a low-interest second mortgage that is designed to reduce the overall cost of financing needed to purchase a new or pre-existing site-built single-family home, condominium, townhouse, or modular home with a permanent foundation assembled on-site in a place compliant with zoning and City ordinances (excludes trailers). The borrower's purchasing power is increased, and homes are made more affordable to low-to-moderate income homebuyers.
