The Engineering Division works to provide the City of Fayetteville with cost-effective solutions to infrastructure projects and systems. The Division is responsible for the scheduling, technical planning, design, bid processing, award recommendation, contract administration and supervision of City public works and construction projects. Staff engineers work to ensure that the City's interests are addressed on projects designed by other agencies, review private property site plans with respect to City engineering requirements, issue permits to assure compliance, and prepare other infrastructure improvement plans based on current and future needs. The Engineering Division develops and maintains regulatory manuals, design standards, and construction specifications, and maintains maps, records, and documents for public infrastructure.

Administrative Manual for the Implementation of the Stormwater Control Ordinance
The Administrative Manual for Implementation of the Stormwater Control Ordinance has been put into effect as of February 13, 2012. This manual will assist city staff in reviewing plans to ensure that they meet standards set forth in the Stormwater Control Ordinance.
